The importance of art

"Tax dollars should not be wasted on art, music or theater classes in high school. Public high schools should be about training young people to enter the workforce. Period."

I do not agree with this at all. Art, music, and theatre classes and education are important due to the fact that they lead people to careers such as digital design, acting, music, etc. without these careers we would not have things like music, tv/movies/theatre, advertising, video games, etc. All things which the world would be awfully dull without, don't you think?
